Here’s my story:
I know that when you are deciding on how to revise your skin you have lots of choices. Great choices. I’m honored to be considered for the job. I thought I’d take a moment to share a little about myself and my work.
As a former academic, I took on this new career with a critical eye. Formally, I had the most fantastic career as a counselor in secondary education. I even started my Ph.D. when my world came to an abrupt halt. I found myself with chronic fatigue and major gut issues. My skin started hypopigmenting and instead of eating lunch, I found myself taking a nap in my office to get through the rest of the day. The brain fog was the worst. Imagine working full time, taking doctorate-level classes, and trying to care for a family. I wanted to do it all, but my body had other plans. I soon found out that I had Celiac and my trigger was stress. The interesting thing about autoimmune dis-eases is that when you get one, more tend to follow. I had to make a very difficult decision and that was to leave my former life in order to rehabilitate my body and my skin.
After leaving that world I tested out a few other worlds which turned out to be horrid for me. I thought that I was making a better decision for my health and well being only to be hospitalized twice for pulmonary embolisms. Death was knocking on my door and I wasn’t ready to open that one. I needed to reinvent myself completely. I needed to learn to trust my instincts and walk away from toxic energy (which seemed to follow me). This is where the world of skincare entered my life.
I knew I had to find something that I LOVED. I knew that I wanted to utilize the skills I acquired and I knew that just about every job required being good at politics to some degree. I needed calm and joy, not the negative aspects of jealousy and competitiveness. That world wasn’t for me. So…I created my own. I attended Pure Aesthetics where I received my license in 2013. I took my lessons from past successes and failures and focused all my energy on becoming the best skincare therapist I can be. In 2018, I began my paramedical career in skin revision and I rarely look back. I know what it’s like to live in a hot climate, with stress and various medical diagnosis’. I come to my business with continuing education. I work holistically with my clients addressing environmental and dietary factors as well as energetic techniques including Reiki. Together, my training and experience have created a name for myself in Arizona and I now have clients who travel to see me for my expertise. I have my health conditions managed and I am in intermediate remission with celiac. I love what I do and I am grateful for you. If you would like to learn more about how using clinical skincare home prescriptives and professional treatments can help revise your skin, consider setting up a consultation.
